Trust Points & Ambassador Verification

As of July 25, 2026, the Ambassador system in ENLIGHTENMENT has been completely overhauled. Ambassadors are no longer chosen by country visits — they are now elected by the community through a Trust Points system. And for the first time, level-ups from Level 2 to Level 3 and beyond require identity verification by an ambassador via a Jitsi video call.

What Changed

Trust Points System

Every player receives 10 Trust Points per month. You can distribute these points to players in your country who have nominated themselves as ambassador candidates. The more trust you receive from your fellow players, the higher your chances of becoming an ambassador.

  • Up to 3 ambassadors per country are selected each month
  • Ties are allowed — if multiple candidates have the same score, they all become ambassadors
  • Trust points expire at the end of each month — use them or lose them
  • You can only give trust points to nominated players in your own country

Self-Nomination

Any player can nominate themselves as an ambassador candidate at any time. Your nomination stays active until you withdraw it. There’s no obligation — you can withdraw at any time.

Ambassador Verification

To level up from Level 1 to Level 2 (and for every level thereafter), you must be verified by an ambassador. The number of verifications required equals your current level — each level requires one more ambassador than the previous one.

1 Request Verification

Open the Trust panel (🏛️ button) and click Request Verification. This creates a verification request that enters the ambassador queue for your country.

2 Join the Jitsi Call

An ambassador from your country will pick up your request and start a Jitsi video call. You’ll receive a link to join. The ambassador will check your official ID document against your selfie and perform liveness checks (blinking, head turning).

3 Get Approved

If the ambassador confirms your identity, your verification is approved. You can now level up — provided all other level-up conditions (all stat bars at 100%) are also met.

Important: You Need an Ambassador in Your Country First!

Verification can only take place if your country already has at least one active ambassador. If no ambassador has been selected for your country yet, you cannot be verified — and therefore cannot level up beyond Level 1.

What to do if your country has no ambassador:

  1. Nominate yourself as an ambassador candidate in the Trust panel
  2. Ask other players in your country to distribute their trust points to you
  3. Once you have enough trust points, you’ll be selected as ambassador at the monthly selection
  4. As an ambassador, you can then verify other players in your country — and they can verify you

This creates a bootstrap problem for new countries, but it’s by design: the first ambassadors must earn the community’s trust through active participation. Once a country has ambassadors, the verification chain grows naturally.

The Verification Button

In your left sidebar, inside the Level-Up frame, you’ll now see a verification status button:

  • RED — Verification required, but not yet requested. You cannot level up.
  • YELLOW — Verification requested, waiting for an ambassador to approve. You cannot level up yet.
  • GREEN — Verified ✓. You can level up (if all stat bars are at 100%).

The button shows your verification progress, e.g. “Verification required (0/2)” or “Verified ✓ (2/2)”. The number of required verifications increases with your level — a Level 9 player has been verified 8 times.

Ambassador Rewards

Ambassadors receive 0.005 CC (≈ 5 €) for each successful verification they perform. This compensates them for their time and effort in keeping the community trustworthy.
