Terms of Service — ENLIGHTENMENT

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ENLIGHTENMENT (the “Game”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

2. Description of Service

ENLIGHTENMENT is a browser-based, persistent-world travel and progression game. The Game is provided free of charge. An account with a valid email address is required to play.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information.
You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
One account per person. Multi-accounting (“alt accounts”) is prohibited and may result in suspension.
The Game creates an on-chain wallet for your account. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials. Lost passwords may result in permanent loss of wallet access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Use bots, scripts, macros, or automated tools to interact with the Game.
Exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended mechanics for personal gain.
Cheat, hack, or reverse-engineer the Game client or server.
Harass, threaten, or abuse other players in chat or any Game communication channel.
Impersonate other players or staff.
Sell, trade, or transfer accounts for real-world money.

Violations may result in temporary suspension, permanent ban, or on-chain asset freezing without notice.

5. In-Game Currency and Assets

The Game uses Cash Coins (CC) and other virtual tokens as in-game currency.
In-game assets (CC, items, NFTs) are stored on a permissioned blockchain. Ownership is determined by the blockchain state.
The Game makes no guarantee about the real-world value of any in-game asset.
All blockchain transactions are final and irreversible.

6. Intellectual Property

All Game content — including code, art, text, music, and design — is owned by the Game operators. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

7. Disclaimers

The Game is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
Server downtime, data loss, or blockchain issues may occur. The operators are not liable for any loss resulting from such events.
The Game may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Game operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Game.

9. Privacy

Your email address is used for account recovery and essential notifications. The Game does not sell your personal data. Your IP address and gameplay actions (travel, claims, chat messages) are logged for anti-cheat and moderation purposes. IP address logs are automatically deleted after 90 days.

10. Changes to These Terms

The operators may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
