Shop: 3 More Improvements — Fragments Fixed, Billing & Shipping
The Enlightenment Shop keeps getting better. This update brings 3 more improvements: 1 bug fix and 2 new features that make fragment crafting work properly, let buyers set up billing details in advance, and give sellers full control over shipping costs.
Summary
| # | Type | Update |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bug fix | Fragment combination now works |
| 2 | New | Billing details in shop sidebar |
| 3 | New | Shipping rates management for sellers |
1. Fragment Combination Fixed FIX
The problem: When players clicked “Combine 10 Pieces → 1 Fragment”, the animation played and everything looked fine — but no fragment was actually created. The pieces were consumed, the UI celebrated, and the fragment count stayed the same. The root cause was a database issue that prevented the fragment from being written.
The fix: The database issue has been resolved. Combining 10 pieces into 1 fragment now works correctly — the fragment is created and appears in your inventory immediately.
As part of this fix, error messages are now shown to the player. Previously, if something went wrong during combination, the error was silently hidden and the UI behaved as if it succeeded. Now you’ll see a clear error message if the combination fails for any reason.
Combining pieces into fragments works again. And if something ever goes wrong, you’ll see a clear error instead of a silent failure.
2. Billing Details in Shop NEW
Previously, buyers could only enter their billing details during checkout — and only when required fields were missing. If you wanted to set up your name, address, or tax number ahead of time, there was no way to do it.
What’s new: A Billing Details button is now available in the shop sidebar. Buyers can fill in their billing information at any time — no need to wait until checkout. The form includes:
- Full name
- Address
- Phone number
- Tax / VAT number
Setting up your tax number in advance means your invoices will be correct from the very first order. No more scrambling to fill in details at checkout.
You can now set up your full billing profile — name, address, phone, and tax number — anytime from the shop sidebar. Checkout is faster, and your invoices are correct from the start.
3. Shipping Rates Management NEW
Shop owners can now configure shipping costs directly from the shop owner dashboard. No more flat-rate-everything — you have full control over how much you charge for shipping, and where.
How it works:
- Set a worldwide default shipping rate
- Add country-specific overrides (e.g. cheaper shipping within your home country)
- Choose the currency (CC or KC) for each rate
- Enter the cost in normal units (e.g. 5.00, not in wei)
At checkout, buyers see the shipping cost based on their home country. The system looks for a country-specific rate first, then falls back to the worldwide default. If no rate is found at all, shipping is free.
Shipping rates only apply to physical items. Digital items are always delivered instantly with no shipping cost.
You can now set shipping costs per country from your dashboard. For example: 5 CC worldwide, but 2 CC within Germany. Buyers see the right cost at checkout based on where they live.
Shipping costs are now shown clearly at checkout, based on your home country. If a seller hasn’t set a rate for your country — or hasn’t set one at all — shipping is free.
Deployment
This update is now live on all regions (US, IN, EU2, SG, and MAAS).
