Plasma Reactor Events: Countermeasures, Longer Duration & Plasma Rewards
The Plasma Reactor just got a major upgrade to its real-time event system. Events now last longer, can be actively countered by the player, and reward +1 Plasma for successful intervention.
What Changed
Longer Event Duration
Previously, reactor events lasted only 15-25 seconds β barely enough time to click a sphere, open the properties panel, and adjust a slider. All events now run for 60 seconds, giving you plenty of time to assess the situation and take action.
Events & Countermeasures
All plasma spheres gain +30% temperature. The reactor chamber glows red, scaled by the actual average temperature of your spheres.
Countermeasure: Select each sphere and lower the Temperature slider. When all spheres are cooled below 30%, the event ends immediately.
A magnetic anomaly pulls all spheres toward the center of the reactor. Spheres with higher energy naturally resist the pull.
Countermeasure: Raise the Energy slider above 70% on all spheres. High-energy plasma cuts through the magnetic field, and the event ends.
Random turbulence hits all spheres, sending them in unpredictable directions.
Countermeasure: Raise the Density / Pressure slider above 70% on all spheres. Dense, high-pressure plasma is stable enough to weather the storm.
Plasma Reward
When you successfully counter an event early, you receive +1 Plasma as a reward. A green confirmation banner appears: ββ [Event Name] countered! +1 Plasmaβ
This means skilled reactor operators can earn Plasma by actively managing events instead of just waiting them out.
How It Works
- An event triggers randomly every 45-100 seconds (when spheres are present).
- A banner appears at the top showing the event type and a 60-second timer.
- Click each sphere, open the properties panel, and adjust the relevant slider.
- When the countermeasure condition is met on all spheres, the event ends immediately.
- You get +1 Plasma and the reactor returns to normal.
The reactor chamberβs visual feedback now reflects actual conditions β the red glow during overheating scales with the real average temperature of your spheres, not a fixed value. Lower the temperature and watch the glow fade!
Master the reactor. Earn the Plasma.
