Country Map: Atlas Maps, Building Management & Real Population Data
The country map has been completely overhauled. Every one of the 195 countries now has an atlas-style map, a 16×16 building grid aligned to real geography, and accurate population data from the United Nations.
What’s New
Atlas-Style Maps for All 195 Countries
Every country now has a beautiful atlas-style background map — with coastlines, borders, rivers, lakes, and city markers. The building grid overlays the actual land area, so your buildings and shop pins appear on real terrain, not in the ocean.
Move and Demolish Buildings
Previously, once you placed a building on the country grid, it was permanent. Now you can:
- Move — Click any building you own, press the Move button, then click a new grid cell to relocate it.
- Demolish — Click any building you own, press Demolish, confirm, and it’s gone.
Only the original builder can move or demolish a building.
Shop Pins on the Country Map
Shop owners can place a pin on any country map to mark where their shop operates. Shop pins:
- Do not consume construction plots — they’re independent of the building grid.
- Can overlap with regular building cells.
- Are clickable — clicking a pin opens the shop.
Knowledge Bar — Keep It Growing!
If your country does not have enough schools and universities, the knowledge bar will go DOWN! Knowledge decays over time when there aren’t enough educational institutions to sustain it. Build schools and universities, and encourage donations, to keep knowledge growing.
Real Population Data
All 195 countries now show accurate 2025 population figures from the United Nations. The housed-population vs. total-population display lets you see how many residents your villages, cities, and metropoles are sheltering compared to the country’s real population.
Building Types
| Building | Residents |
|---|---|
| Village | 500,000 |
| City | 1,000,000 |
| Metropole | 10,000,000 |
Schools and universities accept donations and contribute to the country’s knowledge progress. Hospitals, marketplaces, and culture centers round out the civic infrastructure.
Top Bar
The country map top bar now shows:
- CC and KC balances (same colors as the main game)
- Plasma balance
- Free construction plots remaining
- Housed population vs. total country population
How to Use
- Open any country from the world map.
- The fullscreen country map loads with the atlas background and building grid.
- Select a building type from the bottom bar and click an empty grid cell to build.
- Click any existing building to see info, donate (schools/universities), move, or demolish.
- Use the Shop Pin button to place your shop pin anywhere on the map.
The grid only shows cells that fall within the country’s actual borders — no building in the ocean!
